MATLAB and Simulink

MATLAB was my first programming language that I've learned and retained. Previously I've used JavaScript and some Labview, but that was in middle school. As I advanced in my college career I had to use MATLAB... But there were no courses to formally teach it. Therefor I went to some additional courses offered by WPI and learned through 'trial by fire'. I often resorted to Mathwork's comprehensive documentation to resolve issues.

Structural Dynamics

My first 'course' involving Matlab was structural dynamics. We were challenged by our professor to plot how structures vibrated over time, leading us to finally use differential equations and laplace transforms for 'real world' problems. Using MATLAB I created bode diagrams.

A Digital Jet Engine

For another course our professor instructed us to make a jet engine. Using MATLAB and fundamental equations for mass and heat transfer I was able to create a turbo-jet engine and simulate a variety of conditions.
